Aina has opened preorders for a ring designed to approve an AI agent’s next action with a thumb gesture. Unveiled on November 5, Aina Ring starts at $399 under early-access pricing, with shipments advertised for early 2027. Its small display and button work with an iPhone and a Mac.

The company calls its suggestions Cues. It says the system learns recurring patterns in timing, location and calendar activity, then displays one relevant action. A swipe up approves it; leaving the suggestion alone leaves it unexecuted. Booking a ride and joining a meeting are examples supplied by Aina.

Aina’s design thesis separates complex spoken instructions from quick, recurring approvals. It argues that voice is excessive for actions such as opening a meeting, muting or switching on a familiar light. The company’s aim is to put that brief approval on the hand, reducing the need to retrieve a phone and find an app.

On a Mac, apps get four gestures for actions such as meeting controls and approving an agent’s next step. Holding the button enables dictation, the company says. Meeting controls run through its Mac app and require the computer nearby. The ring can also show an incoming caller and handle a phone call.

Aina describes a body made from four titanium parts around 140 components, with an OLED screen under glass and seven gestures. It requires an iPhone on iOS 18 or later and a Mac on macOS 15 or later. The company currently supports those two platforms, excluding Android and Windows.

Local learning and connected services

Aina says routine learning and saved voice notes stay on users’ devices. Its May 15 privacy policy separately permits authorized calendar access and email sending for meeting participants. Users may revoke access through account or provider settings.

The policy lists Anthropic for AI inference. Device actions may require accessibility or automation permissions; permission status can be retained while action content is not logged. Google API data is excluded from generalized AI training and advertising under that policy.

The advertised early prices are $399 for black, silver and titanium finishes and $449 for gold; displayed list prices are $499 and $549. A charging dock is included. An optional travel charger costs $29. The text storefront checked for this report did not disclose an exact end time for early pricing. Its country selector showed the US, Canada, Australia and India, among others, with South Korea absent.

Orders require full payment at checkout, according to the FAQ. A free sizing kit ships before the ring; customers choose among seven sizes in the app before their unit is made. The display stays the same size across bands. Aina says no further product payment is due when the ring ships.

The November 4 shipping policy allows a full preorder cancellation before the sizing kit ships. After that, customers use the post-delivery return process. Standard returns run for 14 days after delivery, extending to 30 days for earlier customers who reserved with a $10 or $20 deposit.

The one-year warranty covers materials and workmanship from delivery. Aina rates the ring IP64 for splashes and excludes swimming or shower-related water damage from coverage. Delivery destinations, charges and taxes are shown after an address is entered at checkout. The official shipping window remains early 2027; individual dates will be emailed closer to dispatch.
