3-line summary
- Windows laptops built on NVIDIA's RTX Spark chip are now on sale.
- Combining GPU and CPU on one chip, they offer up to 1 petaflop of AI compute and up to 128 GB of unified memory.
- Models from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI start at $2,399, and one launch event was held at COEX in Seoul.
NVIDIA said on October 17 that Windows laptops with RTX Spark have launched. ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI released slim premium models starting at $2,399, with more systems on the way.
RTX Spark is a "superchip" that combines an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with a Grace CPU, delivering up to 1 petaflop of AI compute and up to 128 GB of unified memory. It targets local AI — running large models on the laptop instead of the cloud — along with content creation and gaming.
Launch events took place in six cities: Berlin, Beijing, Istanbul, Seoul, San Francisco and Taipei, with hands-on demos in the COEX East Lobby in Seoul. NVIDIA also published tested recipes and playbooks for running local AI on RTX Spark.
The announcement gave no concrete figures for how fast specific models run, and no Korean pricing.
Why it matters
Models made for laptops, such as Nemotron 3.5 Bolt built for RTX Spark, are arriving alongside the hardware. Running AI without sending data off the machine looks set to become a new reason to pick a laptop.
Who it's for
- Developers
- If you want to test large models locally, start with the local-AI recipes NVIDIA published.
- Designers
- It is aimed at creators who want content work and local AI on one laptop — but note it starts at $2,399.
