Finding relevant documents first and giving them to the AI along with the question.
Short for retrieval-augmented generation. It lets AI answer from information it wasn't trained on, such as recent updates or internal documents.
Answers can point to the documents they came from, which makes them easy to check, and you only update the documents — no retraining needed.
