LLM
An AI model trained on vast amounts of text that writes by predicting what comes next.
Short for large language model. It's the technology behind chat assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
It can handle most text tasks — answering questions, summarizing, translating, writing code — but because it predicts rather than looks things up, it can get facts wrong.
For example
When you ask for a three-line summary of meeting notes and get one back, an LLM wrote it.
